Good afternoon all,

As you can see, I’ve made quite a bit of progress since the last update. This painting is starting to feel very organic and surreal at the same time. Starting at the bottom, dandelion buds are blooming into eyeball sunflowers and metamorphosizing into eyeball butterflies. A few planetoid spheres are present as well as some sort of sand dollar/jellyfish creature. All the while, the monkeys are observing with curious interest. In the background is the beginning of volcano lakes that will probably be located throughout the entire painting. This will allow for all kinds of possibilities in THE DAWN.
What is THE DAWN?
The Dawn is a place where things are not normal and defy logic…like an alternate universe. It’s a colorful, psychedelic, organic, and surreal universe, world, or state of mind. I look forward to exploring and painting the possibilities.

All remnants of the historical monuments have been painted over and now a psychedelic and euphoric journey through The Dawn has emerged. The current idea for these newly painted spheres is to turn them all into different colored ‘eyeballs’ but I’m not sure about that. My original thought was to have each eyeball attached to a plant or tree…like a blooming flower. I’m exploring all possibilities right now and just going with the flow. Even the monkey scene is in danger…
